Food for Thought

Come join us for “Food for Thought!” We’ll have snacks and refreshments to munch on, as well as opportunity to discuss some bigger questions of life, such as:

  • Does God exist?

  • Why is there pain & suffering?

  • What is the purpose of life?

  • Does science disprove religion?

  • How trustworthy is the Bible?

Hope to see you there!

Dare2Share LIVE

This Saturday, at our Harbor Bay building in Alameda, we’ll be hosting the Northern California region for Dare2Share!

Dare2Share LIVE is a national, live, multi-site training and outreach event that is truly one-of-a-kind. With high-energy training, activation, and inspiration, it’s really more of a rally point for a revolution than a gathering! Be equipped to share your faith, alongside other students in this nation-wide event! Don’t miss out!

Ask your staff for rides! All students attending with MakeNew have free admission!

Please have all participants from your group download the Dare2Share LIVE app* prior to the day of the event. The app includes a script for students to use during the outreach time, a live map where you report the Gospel conversations you are having, and other resources. The app will be used throughout the program.

* for those without smartphones, we will have paper copies available as well

Lunch is free, but there will also be donation stations in the gym and parking lot, where you can contribute a suggested amount for the food.

Bagged lunches with Togo’s sandwiches will be available for each attendee to pick up on their way out to the outreach time. They will be located in the gym, as well as the parking lot outside of the gym. A vegetarian option/salads will also be available in the gym.

The outreach time will be a chance to practice cold evangelism via a canned food drive + 1-question survey. Students will go door-to-door, in groups of 2-3 (leader close by).

The materials you will need for the outreach time include:

  • Outreach packet (pick up on morning of or print from the email)

  • Banana box & bags to put cans in (pick up during 10:30AM break in HB-B Austin Room)
